New York – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of N. Damali Peterman, Esq., to its panel. Ms. Peterman joins JAMS with over 20 years of ADR experience as a mediator, conflict resolution trainer, ADR entrepreneur and corporate transactional lawyer in private and in-house practice.
Throughout her career, Ms. Peterman has been active in many different areas of conflict resolution, including as a mediator in breach of contract, commercial, employment/EEOC, intellectual property, family and housing disputes. She has worked across a broad swath of industries, including banking, utilities, telecommunications, entertainment, food and beverage, and retail.
Based in the New York Resolution Center, Ms. Peterman will serve as an arbitrator, mediator and ombudsman, handling international and cross-border, business and commercial, civil rights, education, employment, energy and utilities, entertainment and sports, higher education and Title IX, intellectual property, professional liability, real estate and real property, and telecommunications disputes. She is available to conduct sessions in person (adhering to reopening guidelines), as well as virtually for attorneys and their clients across the country.
Ms. Peterman is a highly respected ADR advocate who has earned a reputation for her innovative and engaging approach to conflict resolution. We are thrilled that she has chosen to join the panel at JAMS, and we look forward to seeing her thrive in this new role.

Prior to joining JAMS, Ms. Peterman founded Breakthrough ADR, a global conflict resolution firm that helps organizations resolve conflict and teaches people how to listen, negotiate and resolve everyday situations in the workplace and beyond. Through Breakthrough ADR, she routinely addresses acute and chronic inter- and intra-company conflict and provides conflict resolution/mediation training and conflict coaching to thousands of individuals and companies.
Ms. Peterman travels globally to teach workshops in negotiation and mediation and to judge mediation competitions. She also teaches students, educators and other professionals across the world. Ms. Peterman is a highly sought-after speaker, and she has been featured on numerous television networks and in many magazines and newspapers. Ms. Peterman is fluent in Spanish; is conversational in Japanese; and has limited language skills in Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Portuguese and Dutch. She has traveled extensively throughout five continents.
My ADR philosophy is to empower clients experiencing conflict by restoring their sense of agency and self-determination, and to find a path to resolution even in the most challenging and seemingly intractable disputes.
