New York – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Hon. Jeffrey K. Oing (Ret.) has been honored at the Small Claims Arbitrators Association’s (SCAA) sixth annual golf outing. The event occurred at the Dyker Beach Golf Course in Brooklyn on June 19.

In addition to Justice Oing, the outing also honored Honorable Suzanne J. Adams, Administrative Judge, Supreme Court, New York County, Civil Term. The event included golf in a scramble format with plenty of on-course contests, along with a paint 'n sip experience for non-golfers. JAMS is pleased to be a sponsor of this year’s event.

“We are proud to join in celebrating Justice Oing and this recognition from the SCAA. He is widely respected as a talented jurist and ADR practitioner, known for his ability to listen carefully and build consensus effectively. We are also grateful to the SCAA for its ongoing commitment to supporting community confidence in the court system.”

Based in the New York Resolution Center, Justice Oing joined JAMS in 2025 after serving on the bench as a distinguished jurist for 20 years. As an arbitrator, mediator, special master/referee and neutral evaluator, he handles complex business and commercial, employment and labor, construction, insurance, intellectual property, real property/real estate, personal injury and professional malpractice matters.

Justice Oing began his judicial career in 2003 when elected to the New York County Civil Court. Six years later, he was appointed supervising judge of that court and designated an acting Supreme Court judge. In 2010, he was elected to the Supreme Court, and after a five-month assignment to a General Trial Part, he was assigned to the Commercial Division.

From 2017 to 2024, Justice Oing served in the Appellate Division, First Department of the New York State Supreme Court, a court whose jurisdiction encompasses New York and Bronx counties and hears appeals from the Supreme Court, Surrogate’s Court, Family Court and Court of Claims.
