Recently Retired US District Judge Joins JAMS In Los Angeles
JAMS, the nation's largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution services, has welcomed Hon. Dean Pregerson (Ret.), former U.S. District Judge for the Central District of California, to its panel of neutrals. With nearly 29 years on the federal bench, including service as a senior judge and designee for the Ninth Circuit, Judge Pregerson brings extensive judicial experience and a reputation for pragmatic and creative dispute resolution.
Based in JAMS’ Downtown LA and Century City offices, Judge Pregerson will serve as a mediator, arbitrator, court-appointed neutral, and evaluator, offering services in both in-person and virtual formats. His ADR practice will span complex areas such as antitrust, commercial disputes, class actions, civil rights, entertainment, higher education, insurance, IP, personal injury, product liability, and real estate.
Pregerson, a UC Davis School of Law graduate and son of late Ninth Circuit Judge Harry Pregerson, previously worked as a public defender, private practitioner, and corporate general counsel before being appointed to the federal bench by President Bill Clinton in 1996.
